Volunteering internationally is a great way to see the world, experience new cultures, and to serve others. When traveling as a tourist, it is often hard to truly experience the local culture as we are cocooned in a world of resorts and sightseeing excursions.
Being accepted into a culture is an act of trust. As tourists, that trust can be hard to establish. When you come to a country to help with no strings attached (all of our services are provided free of cost), those bonds of trust are immediately established – bringing down the walls that separate us from each other. This is the joy of volunteering abroad. The ability to truly connect with another culture while serving others.
Our volunteers quickly learn that you can’t give more than you get back in return. And by the way, we still allow time for play and sightseeing excursions. Travel with purpose!
